Mario cart wii also comes with a steering wheel and its one of the top ten! Made it up to 5 well its still good. Good advice play it lots get good get bord still play it because im not good now. Great game do! Cool best you get a steering wheel culdnt get better but it can you get mario cart chanle.

I won't go into a description here, loads of people have done that. All I can say is that I thoroughly enjoy playing it. I can't comment about previous incarnations since I have not played them.

One criticism seems to be that it is too difficult to always be the winner, as in the power ups compensate for the skill. I think this is actually a good thing, allowing fairly equal matches. If you are good, you will tend to win more than someone who isn't, but at least they stick a chance. It is not really a serious race game, more of a good fun game. Great for parties.

This game is brill in all areas. My favourite game, the graphics are brill, sound and just the whole game is brill. Very addictive game and even better when you play against actual people online. The excitment is very good and so are the scenery/ places that you race at. Would reccomend this game to anyone and betta and easier to play with the well just simply hold in two and turn and move the wheel to go round corners.

Children enjoy this game, fast paced and fun. Its not easy to win or even do that well in the race, maybe we haven't mastered it yet! Came in good time, well packaged.

Fab family game. Have had lots of fun competing against the kids. Becomes very infectious. Good skills game, but also good for the younger kids. They are often better than the oldies.....

There's far too much going on in this game! Its hard to make out whats actually happening and there is no skill involved at all. You could win some races with your eyes closed! Where as other times you could drive perfectly and lose.

Its ok for kids i suppose, but it was a way better game on the snes.

We all love this game, family of five ages ranging from 42 to 3. We also really enjoy playng 'The World' on-line. Also I love joining pre-arranged contests with colleagues from work with my kids, though I suppose I should change my player name from 'Dad' at some stage ..... If you have a Wii this is a must buy. 10/10

Firstly I want to say that the price of this and other wii games are extortionate.

I'll start with the replay value of this game, it's terrible. Once completed there's no reason to play it again apart from online play.

The wheel provided with the game is so bad it's laughable...one word: unresponsive.

Some of the courses are atrocious:

Moonview highway

Yoshi Falls

Browsers Castle

To name a few.

The online experience isn't much better. The voting system has no spam control...in other words you could be playing the same track over and over again.

Now we come to the worst thing: the weapons. Firstly there's the wario shell. You work hard to get first then some loser far behind sends one of them and you end up 8th.

Secondly the cloud. A weapon so pointless it's pathetic.

Finally the worst of them all: The bullets. Once again you work for first, then someone last comes flying past, knocking you over and making you last. If your bad enough to be last it should be your problem not others.

My advice would be to get the snes or gamecube version. Otherwise just save your money for a game worth buying.

Mario Kart wii has so many new options within the game i.e. that you can use bikes and you can use your mii. There is a big sellection of karts, bikes, characters and racing tracks. Well it is a big sellection when you have unlocked them..... but anyway mario kart is great game to play for all the family from kids to the elderly. This game also is the first and only game to come with the offical nintedo wii wheel. Which is great but there is other options of playing the game i.e. using the nunchuck and wii mote and you can use the nintendo gamecube controller. There is many options in the one player and multi-player modes. With the one player you can go in a grand prix with 3 types of modes to start off with but then you can get a additional new mode, this is "150cc mirror" this is basicly the 150cc but the tracks are in reverse. There is also time trials where you can race the clock or against the nintendo team and try and beat there times. In multi-player you can change the options of the races i.e. how many races there are and if you want the CPU in the races or not. If you have your wii connected to the internet you can also connect to other players worldwide, internationally or just play with your friends.

Not having played the previous iterations of Mario Kart, the Wii version has been my introduction to the series, and what a stunning introduction! In this game, up to 4 players race around a series of tracks of varying complexity, while using a range of items picked up during the course of the race to either get further ahead or slow down the opposition. While hardcore racing fans might take issue with the lack of realistic driving physics, this aspect of the design makes the game far more accessible to the widest possible audience. At the same time, it's not one of those games where practice yields no benefit, as the experienced player gains a significant advantage through the use of tactical play. In short:

Some items which the trailing racers pick up have a ridiculous ability to destroy a player who is racing too well

We bought this game for our children aged 7 & 4 but my husband and I also love it. It's such a good laugh and will keep you and your family amused for ages! Different levels, cars and characters really make this a game you will not easily get bored with.

I love my kids age 5 and 3 love and they were winning some races in no time. The control is perfect, the kids soon got the hang of driving and trying to get them off is like trying to peel chweing gum off the carpet.

Very, very, very impressive Nintendo - give yourselves all a big pat on the back!

Mariokart Wii was inevitably going to happen - but how it colud have stayed this popular for so long - amazing but not suprising!

If you're totally new to Mariokart Wii then I still recommend that you buy this today. The steering wheel - and I won't lie to you - is not easy to master, but it's like the old phrase, possibly from Othello - 'It takes a minute to learn, but it takes a lifetime to master.' That basically sums it up in the least amount of words possible. But I assume that wasn't what you were looking for!

Gameplay: With an array of great graphics and beautiful tracks, this earns itself a 5* rating! Whether you're 5 yrs old or 50, you will still be enthralled at the, well, Mario-ishness of it!

Quality: Very good quality of everything - the warranty, the development, the Wii Wheel, no outstanding problems that need to be reported - so still a 5* rating!

Value for Money: Although the price may seem a bit steep at first, as soon as you start you will either be shouting this out or just quietly acknowledging it - MONEY WELL SPENT! ANOTHER 5* RATING!

So, all in all, it doesn't really need explaining that this is a definite 5* game!

I have twins age 4 and a 7 year old, all boys. They all love this and want more, more, more!! In fact once they have gone to bed I take over and have a few races myself. It is great fun. Would recommend to anyone.

All the other positive reviews have pretty much said everything about this game so I jsut wanted to add my vote.

We bought this for my 3yr old so he could just pootle round using the steering wheel. And in terms of engagement for him it's great. For his 6yr old sister it's fab, she always drives as the princess and gives her own commentary as she goes round the track - good fun to hear, has bought a few smiles and proves that video games do not destroy the imagination!

And when the children are in bed me and my husband break out the wheels and play too. Good all round fun.

One bug bear - as we've only had it a short while we haven't worked out how to play as our Mii Mii's and my son desperately wants to drive as himself, so there's only a tiny spark of frustration there. But we'll get there, so its all good!
