    Great Controllers & Cheap, 17 Apr 2010

the original Nintendo controllers are much more comfortable to touch, however, it is much easier and better to press buttons, so sharp and easy. the shapes is better to hold as well, this is a great piece of equipment especially if you have a wii.The postage was excellent! I did standard delivery and it arrived within 2 days! The packaging is nice, the controller design differs a little from the picture but it's basically the same idea. Controller works perfectly with the Wii - Cheap alternative which does the job! 5*

a poor piece of cheap tat, 6 Jan 2010

I originally bought one of these to "save some money" rather than get an original controller. At first I was pleased cos I could play my old gamecube games again on the wii. However, the grey steering control was in permanent up mode after just a few plays on Star wars Rogue Leader. Cheap is as cheap does. Spend a bit extra on a proper one.

Great but cheap controller!, 5 Jan 2010

I am very pleased with this controller. It now allows me to use Homebrew Channel properly and as well play classic games. In addition of course I could play standard Wii-games with it, but I haven't even tried. Wiimote is the best for real Wii games.

Anyway, the product is really good and surprisingly cheap!

This has a weird material, the original Nintendo controllers are much more comfortable to touch, however, it is much easier and better to press buttons, so sharp and easy. the shapes is better to hold as well, and its slightly heavier, which i think is better.

It's half the price of the official controller for a reason -- quality, 4 Dec 2009

Firstly, why did I buy this controller and not an official one? Being a 3rd of the price and having seen a handful of 'good' reviews, I decided to give it a try.

It was fine at first, there wasn't any fault to find. However this all changed just after an hour of play. While playing Mario Kart Wii I started to notice buttons not responding all the time (mainly noticing bad acceleration), the digital stick didn't quite turn the car all the time, and the D-pad buttons are very stiff making the Ariel stunts difficult.

Another quality issue is the wire to the controller -- one small yank and the wire moved a bit out of the controller. Enough so the 4 wires inside the insulation became exposed and liable to snapping. You can open the controller and repair this yourself, but it's VERY fiddly compared to official controllers. You shouldn't have to do this.

Finally, the turbo LED was completely misaligned. When I opened the controller up to put the wire back in, I noticed the LED was actually bent out from where it should have been.

Oh, and have I mentioned that the controller picture shown is very inaccurate from the product? I have now.

I strongly recommend paying a bit more for an official controller, or getting one off a highly reputable seller from eBay.

Gamecube Controller (Wii), 29 Sep 2009

I decide to buy a Gamecube controller to play Super Smash Brothers on the Wii because I could not get used to the way it handles on the Wii remote and nunchuck. As with the controller it is what it is, the controller was good enough for me back in the day of the Gamecube, it's still good enough for me to use now.

The buttons are ideal for my fingers to press and hold and to use with combinations, I've also got a Xbox 360 which I prefer over the Gamecube due to better graphics, controls, variety and seriousness of games on the console but I can tell you I've finished Super Smash Brothers upto 88% and I wouldn't of done so without this controller.

This controller is as only as good if you are comfortable with it and if it's worked well with your game, that's why personally I enjoyed this controller, but I gave it 3 out of 5 because it's not a game.

    Good gamepad, 23 Feb 2009

Great gamepad to substitute the gamecube original gamepad!

The plastics seems to be good and the buttons are sensitive, except for the R the (purple button) a little rigid but nothing that worries.

    Quality/price 4 stars ;)

    Worth it, 17 Jan 2009

I didn't get the same controller as pictured, as some of the buttons are a different shape and mine is all white. However this means it looks great, and therefore much better than I expected. It responds well and has so far survived a weeks worth of consistent punishment, so if you receive the same product you should be very pleased. The only problem, but I'm sure this depends on how you treat your controller etc... is that I find playing with this for long makes some of the muscles in my hand ache, maybe this occurs with the original controller for some too (I would not know). Anyway, overall I would recommend this item.

Only get if you cant get an official GC Nintendo controller, 6 Aug 2007

In the process of sending this back to amazon due to the 'Turbo' Button remaining on and the d-pad not responding when pressing left (well, if you press really hard it works 80% of the time).

Ive since got hold of a second hand nintendo gc controller from gamestation for £9.97 (reduced from £13 - a joke that gamecube stuff is still so expensive). I wasnt surpised cos third party pads tend to be rubbish anyway!

The turbo button is really handy thou for star fox 64 on wii - but obvioulsyoy ,u dont want this function on all the time.

I would give it three stars as overall, if you cant get hold of a nin pad its worth getting - im sure you can get it replaced if you find the same problem.

A fine addition to my collection of Wii bits..., 9 May 2007

Plain and simple, if you want to play Gamecube games on your Wii then you'll want one of these. I never owned a Gamecube but always fancied a go at some of the games - and now I can. I was worried that this might feel a bit cheap or flimsy but to be honest it feels just fine and I've had no problems using it. Go on, grab one and embrace the retro gaming experience!
